Story & Script Submission Agreement
Hi, and thanks for trusting me with your story. Before you send over your pages, outline, or idea, I want you to know exactly how your material will be handled, and what this service does and doesn't cover. Please read this fully before submitting.
1. Eligibility
This service is available to submitters age 18 or older. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and sign this agreement with you before any material is submitted, and must be the one arranging payment. This minors-with-consent path does not apply to explicit content — see Section 9 for that boundary.
2. This is your work, not mine
Everything you submit — your story, script, outline, characters, world, and ideas — belongs to you, completely. Nothing in this agreement, and nothing about working with me, gives me any ownership, rights, or claim over your material. I'm reviewing it and giving feedback. That's it.
3. Your ownership warranty
By submitting material, you confirm that it is your own original work (or that you hold the necessary rights to share it), and that it does not infringe on anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights. You agree to be responsible for any claim, loss, or dispute that arises from a submission that turns out not to be true, including covering reasonable costs this creates for me.
4. I'll keep it confidential
I will not share, publish, post, distribute, or discuss the specific contents of your submission with anyone else, for any reason, without your written permission. This includes not using details from your story in my own content (videos, social posts, examples, etc.) unless you've explicitly said it's okay.
5. I won't use it for anything but your feedback
Your material is reviewed for the sole purpose of giving you notes, coaching, or the service you paid for. I will not use it, or any part of it, in my own creative work, in any form, at any time.
6. Independent development
To be clear: I will not use your submission, or anything derived from it, in my own creative work — that commitment is stated plainly in Section 5, and it's the operating rule here, not a footnote.
The one thing this agreement can't promise is that no idea of mine will ever resemble yours. I read and work across many stories, including my own, and creators land on similar tropes, character types, or themes independently all the time — that's normal in this field, not a sign anything went wrong. So if something I've already been working on, or later create, happens to share a surface-level similarity with your submission, that alone isn't a breach of this agreement, as long as it wasn't drawn from your work. The confidentiality and non-use commitments above are what actually govern this relationship.
7. What this service is (and isn't)
This service provides feedback, notes, and coaching on your material. It is not a guarantee of publication, representation, sale, contest placement, or any other outcome. I am not acting as your agent, publisher, or legal representative, and nothing in this agreement should be read that way.
8. Scope of review
Each tier of this service covers review of material up to the word or page count listed for that tier at the time of purchase. Material submitted beyond that limit may be reviewed only in part, or may require an upgraded tier — I'll let you know before starting if your submission exceeds what your purchased tier covers.
9. Content I won't review
Visual submissions (comic/manga pages, storyboards, character art, or similar): I do not review sexually explicit visual content, regardless of submitter age.
Prose and scripts: mature and explicit content is welcome as part of storytelling, but review of sexually explicit prose or script content is available to submitters age 18 or older only, with no parental-consent exception.
Content depicting minors in sexual or sexually suggestive situations is refused outright, in any format, regardless of submitter age, fictional framing, or any other context. This is a hard boundary with no exceptions.
If a submission falls outside what I review, I'll let you know and issue a full refund for that submission rather than proceeding.
10. Payment and refunds
Payment is due at the time of submission or booking unless otherwise agreed.
Live sessions (calls, working sessions, or any scheduled tier): may be cancelled or rescheduled at no charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations or no-shows inside that 24-hour window are non-refundable.
Written/async review tiers: you may request a cancellation and full refund within 24 hours of my acknowledgment that I've received your submission (not from the moment you submit it — this avoids your window closing before I've even seen your work). After that 24-hour window, submissions are non-refundable.
11. Limitation of liability
This service is provided as personal creative feedback, not professional, legal, or financial advice. To the fullest extent allowed by law, my liability for any claim related to this service is limited to the amount you paid for that specific submission. I'm not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost opportunities or lost income.
12. How long this lasts
The confidentiality terms in this agreement remain in effect indefinitely — there's no expiration date on my promise to keep your material private. Other terms apply for the duration of our working relationship on a given submission.
13. Storage and deletion
I'll keep a copy of your submission only as long as needed to complete your feedback, plus a reasonable window afterward in case you have follow-up questions. You're welcome to request deletion of your submitted files at any time by emailing me.
14. Questions or concerns
If anything here is unclear, or you'd like something added before you submit your work, reach out first — I'd rather talk it through than have you send something you're unsure about.
